HAYLEY & ANDREW
are getting married

With a little over 3 weeks to go, we are both so excited that so many of our family and friends will be there to celebrate our special day with us.
There is new information and updates to the pages!!!
We both cannot wait to welcome you all to Cinque Terre.
We would both like to welcome you to our wedding website and really hope you can be part of our special day.
In July 2013 we took the chance to visit a part of Italy that we had both never been to before, the amazing Cinque Terre National Park. At some point during that break we were watching the sunset and decided that when (not if) we got married that we would love to do it there.
Cinque Terre and it's five villages hold a special place in our hearts and we know that when you join us there you will see why.
Of the five villages, we have chosen to get married in Monterosso, it is the largest of the five villages.
Within this site you will find more information about Cinque Terre, how you can get there, where to stay when you are there and most importantly about the 29th of May.
We will be adding to this site over the coming year as we finalise more details, please register your email address so we can keep you updated!

GETTING TO MONTEROSSO
Updated information on travel
All the information you need to plan your trip for the wedding:
We have used the train network on both our previous visits to Cinque Terre and this is definitely the most cost effective option. The rail system is quite easy to navigate and you can either book your ticket in advance or wait till you get to the station. If you are getting your ticket at the station then they have very easy to use machines.
Booking trains
You can either book at:
www.thetrainline.com
or
www.trainitalia.com
It is also easy to pick up a ticket from the station using one of the machines, all in English!
Top Tips
When booking there will be direct and indirect available, both are easy to do but if you want less hassle then book direct, there may be fewer direct trains.
The cost of a one way ticket is about 10 Euros, if you pay an extra 5 Euros then you can get a first class ticket which is a lot more comfortable. Not all trains have a first class section so choose wisely – it is definitely worth the money if you can..
Pisa to Monterosso
There is a people mover service between Pisa Airport and the Centrale train station which runs from 6am to Midnight every 5/8 minutes, journey time is approx. 5 minutes.
You will find this easily signposted and is approximately 40 metres from the airport terminal.
Genoa to Monterosso
There are 2 train stations in Genoa, Genoa Piazza Principe or Brignole – both of these have direct trains to Monterosso and it is about 90 minutes to travel by train.
On leaving the airport you can either catch a taxi (there are set rates so ask before getting in) or there is a bus that will take you to the station.
Private Transfer
It is possible to get a private transfer, on investigating further this is quite expensive, the best way we have found to do it is by downloading the GetTransfer app, this allows you to select your specific journey and drivers “bid” for the job
Please send us an email, if you need more help
CINQUE TERRE
Cinque Terre is a string of centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline. In each of the 5 towns, colourful houses and vineyards cling to steep terraces, harbours are filled with fishing boats and trattorias turn out seafood specialities along with the Liguria region’s famous sauce, pesto. The Sentiero Azzurro cliff-side hiking trail links the villages and offers sweeping sea vistas

You may decide to come for a couple of days or stay for longer, there is lots you can do around Cinque Terre. From exploring the five beautiful villages to lazing on the beach you will be able to keep yourself occupied.
Travelling between the villages is very simple, either by train where the journey time is short or you can catch a ferry between the villages.

WHERE TO STAY
All the information you need to plan your trip for the wedding:
Staying in Cinque Terre
There are lots of different types of accommodation available in Monterosso and the other surrounding villages should you decide to explore.
There are a number of full serviced hotels in the village itself which have reception desks and more amenities. We would recommend a hotel if you would prefer to have the comfort of having a reception desk with someone at hand to assist with any questions or help you may need.
Apartments
There a lot of “apartment” type rooms available, these are generally a room in a larger block. These will have facilities, some including a kitchenette, but unlikely to have a reception desk so you will have to ensure you arrange a meeting time with the owner to collect the keys.
We have provided a link to Air BnB, please be aware that you can find apartments on many other booking sites, just be aware of what you are booking and with whom.
GETTING THERE
Updated information on flights is now available, see below.
All the information you need to plan your trip for the wedding:
The best airports to fly into are Genoa (Genova) to the north or Pisa to the South. Both of which have flights direct from the UK. Pisa has a greater number of flight options available.
The information for airlines is correct at the time of writing but as flights have not been released yet, they are not confirmed.
British Airways
This year BA flew every day.
BA Flights are typically available about a year before travel.
